Decorate a Trunk

Our popular Trunk-or-Treat event is back on October 29 from 3pm-5pm in the church parking lot, and we are looking for fun people to create themed trunks and pass out candy to adorably dressed-up kids.  We'll provide the candy, you provide the décor!

If you would like to create a trunk, email Julie at
FPC Tacoma's Trunk-Or-Treat is coming up on Saturday, October 29th from 3pm-5pm in the church parking lot.  Last year was a blast, and so we're doing this fun and safe event again!

FPC Kids' Ministry is collecting bags of individually wrapped candy for the event that can be dropped off in the marked bin in the back of the sanctuary. Please bring all candy by Sunday, Oct. 23.

Thank you for helping with the success of this event! For more information or to sign up, contact Julie Brownlee:

Children all over the world need the hope of Christ, and a simple shoebox packed full of new gifts can show a child in an underserved country the hope and love found in Jesus. Once again, we are excited to partner with Operation Christmas Child and show a child that they matter and are not forgotten this Christmas season. Boxes, and packing information, are available in Fellowship Hall Oct 30, Nov 6 and 13. Return filled boxes the week of Nov 14-21.

For our "IN" season, we are asking all of you to invite a person (or people) in our congregation you haven’t hung out with or gotten to know before, and meet up with them for coffee, get together for dinner, or even go to a concert together, and “fill an empty chair.” Take a photo with the people and send it to

Missions: Please pray for the men and women in the work of Tacoma Police Chaplaincy. They help many people with a lot of needs. The police depend on them when arresting or talking to a lot of people they encounter.
