The Mordecai Kaplan Center for Jewish Peoplehood is co-sponsoring this program dedicated to the memory of Rabbi Ira Eisenstein Z"L. Please join us.
Rabbi Ira built and sustained the infrastructure of The SAJ as a synagogue and community during his tenure as SAJ rabbi, established Reconstructionist Judaism as a fourth Movement in American Judaism, founded and served as first President of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, and served as Rabbi of the Reconstructionist Synagogue of the North Shore.

Learn the history and hear personal memories from:

Rabbi Deborah Waxman - President of Reconstructing Judaism and historian of Reconstructionist Judaism
Rabbi Lee Friedlander - Rabbi of the Reconstructionist Synagogue of the North Shore and beloved student of Rabbi Ira
Harriet Feiner - Member of The SAJ Youth Group led by Rabbi Ira and lay leader of the Reconstructionist Synagogue of the North Shore during Rabbi Ira’s tenure

Co-Sponsored by The Mordecai Kaplan Center for Jewish Peoplehood and RSNS Reconstructionist Synagogue of the North Shore
