We hope you've all enjoyed a peaceful break over the festive season and are ready for a rewarding and exciting year in 2017. Many groups take this time of year to plan their events and activities for the year ahead while things are still quiet. Now is the time to enter the different offerings you have planned for 2017 into My Community Life.
My Community Life makes it easy for you to input your activities in advance! As the date approaches your event will automatically be featured on the main page of the My Community Life website.
Here are a few new year resolutions you can keep!
Are you breaking over the summer holiday period? Update your main page so people know when your regular program will be resuming.
Check the links on your page are up to date and not broken.
Add a flyer to your webpage to help people find out more about your group. But also remember to include all of this key information in the description of your page. Doing this supports accessibility for people with vision impairments who may not be able to read the flyer.
That doesn't look right! Please let us know if something isn't working on the site
We want your experience using My Community Life to be simple and easy!
Like all things from time to time, systems don’t always work the way we want them to. We rely on your feedback - so if you notice anything not working the way it should please let us know by emailing email@example.com or calling us on 9581 4809.
Training…watch this space! Training opportunities will be available during the year to help you get the most out of the My Community Life website. If you have any suggestions or ideas about what training you would like, we would love to hear from you.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 9581 4809.
Re-use deactivated events! No need to build a new page.
If you hold similar events on a regular basis you can re-use and edit a previously advertised event to save you time building a new page!
Events that have had the date expired will appear as ‘Deactivated’ in your My Profile list. To re-use an event all you need to do is choose a deactivated event and click on the ‘Activate’ button.
The details for the event page will then open for editing where you can remove the date; or edit the date and time. A pop up box will appear for you to choose the best format for your date and time.
You can also update all your other event information including location and accessibility details. Don’t forget to check the contact details are correct and add any relevant links!
When finished click ‘Submit’ at the bottom of the page and you’re done. Easy!
