Fact of the month
So far this year 1,182 actions have been taken by Green Impact teams across the operational estate. The closing date for the programme is in three weeks' time.

CyclistTurning the spotlight on travel throughout April

 Throughout April the Environment and Energy section will hold a number of sustainable travel events and competitions. The goal of these events is to make staff aware of the support on offer to make their commute more sustainable.  


Smart watch Which University workplace is the most active?

As part of Spotlight on Travel month we are running a competition, the Workplace Travel Challenge, to see which University workplace is the most active. Teams who register and log their journeys on foot or by bike over the week of 24 April, will be in with a chance of winning a prize

Lab equipmentOut with the old, in with the new

The University's Equipment Replacement Programme is a fund set up to help departments replace inefficient equipment with more energy efficient equivalents and has been extended to cover drying cabinets.

As part of Spotlight on Travel month, we profile the environmental impact of business travel and detail some of the options there are for staff to make business travel more sustainable.

Waste binsNew labels for your bins!

 A new set of labels are now available for staff to download. These labels use pictures of the waste types instead of infographics and will be a bright and informative addition to your workplace

It has been a busy few weeks in the Living Lab with the recruitment of new interns and the submission of business cases for the Cambridge Carbon Challenge.
