Do You Have What It Takes to Pull a 17,000 Pound Semi?

On Saturday, August 27, United Way of Delaware County will partner with United Way of Madison County for the 3rd Annual United Way Human Truck Pull, happening at Anderson Municipal Airport. At the event, teams will compete against one another to pull a 17,000-pound semi 125 feet as quickly as possible, competing for prizes in Fastest Team Overall, Fastest Team (Co-Ed and Men's), and Most Money Raised.

A Kid’s Exhibition Pull will also take place for children ages 8 to 15. With food, bounce houses, and music, there will be fun for everyone!

The cost for team registration is $500, which can be raised through personal fundraising efforts by team members and non-pulling supporters. All proceeds will support both United Way of Delaware and Madison counties in their initiatives to improve education, income and health in their respective counties.

If your business or organization is interested in participating, visit to register.

Your Leadership Guides Pacesetter
Campaign Success

Pacesetter Campaigns kick off this month! As a Pacesetter Partner, you and your company play a vital role in jumpstarting United Way’s fall campaign. Your leadership sets the pace in raising funds to improve lives in Delaware County every single day. Your support in starting early sets a strong example for other organizations to follow.

Supporting organizations will be recognized throughout the campaign for their dedication and community leadership. As an added incentive, the Ball Brothers Foundation is offering a $100,000 match to donations. For first-time donors giving to the Community Action Fund, a $2: $1 match will be made. For repeat donors who increase their giving to United Way of Delaware County, the amount of their increase will be matched $1: $1.

United Way of Delaware County needs to raise $100,000 in new and increased donations in order to receive the Ball Brothers Foundation's offering, and Pacesetters play an important role in the success of this initiative.
