DROP EVERYTHING AND READ ON APRIL 12
Make Reading a Priority
National Drop Everything and Read Day (D.E.A.R) is April 12. The day honors Beverly Cleary, author and creator of beloved characters Ramona and Beezus, who will turn 101 yearsold on this date!
On this day, we ask you to take some extra time for reading. D.E.A.R. reminds us to make reading a priority in our everyday lives. Grab a book and curl up on the couch, or choose a read-along book perfect for the family. It's a great day for your little ones to ask, "Can we read one more story before bed, please?"
D.E.A.R. Day promotes literacy for the forever learner in each of us. Are you looking for family book suggestions? The D.E.A.R website can help!
