Thanks to all who came out to Farm Family Day last Saturday, it was a pleasure to have met a bunch of you and share the excitement of cooking with our fresh herbs and veg!

Things are coming along at the farm. Last week we made huge progress with the back quadrant. We have been working on this area for a month now and last Thursday we added the final touches to shaping the beds. We're thrilled to have gotten the zucchinis, squash, and potatoes in the ground, and will be transplanting sweet peppers and more summer squash this week! It's been fun observing the crows and robins (our clean up crew) walking down the corridors of the developing beds to pick out the surfaced worms. Furthermore, as the heat picks back up, we have noticed our friends, the leaf cutter bees, joining us at the farm. They have made themselves home in our hay stack.

It's been a beautiful week full of life and learning and we look forward to what the rest of the summer will bring!

Loutet Farm internships!

We are looking for some lovely, hard working individuals who want to taste a piece of what urban agriculture is really like.

Summer Camps:

This summer Loutet Farm will have half-day and full-day summer sessions available for children and youth. Our programming will explore the biodiversity of plants and insects on the farm. We have programs for those interested in crafting with flowers, and plants found on the farm, and programs for those interested in studying the insects responsible for keeping our plants healthy (and those responsible for eating our plants!).

Coming up:
