Changes are happening at the farm!
First big change is that we are re-introducing the Wednesday markets! After talking to lots of folks in the community we have decided to start them up again in addition to the Saturday markets! We will be having our FIRST WEDNESDAY MARKET ~ JUNE 21st ~ 4 to 6pm!
Second change at the farm is that we have an explosion of new and exciting produce to share with you all this week!
Garlic scapes are finally ready. In my heart they are an indicator of summer and the harvest season kicking off! And it is!
Garlic scapes are such a rare treat to eat. I personally like them so much that I blend them and freeze them in order to enjoy them for as long as possible. If you have garlic planted in your yard or just generally curious about garlic scapes, I found this website to have clear info about when and how to harvest them
Another exciting note worthy vegetable are the baby carrots! They come from the process of thinning our carrot beds and harvesting these sweet young baby carrots. These carrots are super sweet and softer to eat then regular size carrots, and therefore usually preferred by fancy restaurants and chefs!
We also have, zucchinis, a few strawberries, and heads of lettuce that are new this week. Very exciting!
Saturday, June 17th, 10am-12pm
Please note: We do our best to project what we can harvest, but we can't guarantee that everything will be available until the end of the market. As we have limited quantities of some items, arrive early for the best selection. Some vegetables are limited to 2 per family/purchase. Farm Gate sales are CASH ONLY.
