Important Information
 Safeguarding Statements and Safeguarding Risk Assessment
Provincial Support Officers have now commenced briefing each Scout Group on compiling their Safeguarding Risk Assessment, which are required to be completed by September 2019. Groups should be reminded of the requirement under the Children First Act 2015 to publically display the organisations Child Safeguarding Statement in all premises and the requirement to make the statement available if requested.

The Children First, National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children outlines the requirements at pages 32 to 35.

Patrol Pre-Qualifying Confirmation

In order to confirm the Patrols that have successfully qualified for the Phoenix Challenge through participation in their respective County Qualifying Events, all County Commissioners (or County Programme Coordinator) must complete the NA1 Form and return to by Friday 28th June 2019. Please refer to the event information pack in calculating the number of qualifying Patrols" Click HERE for the NA1 Form.

The closing date for Patrol bookings is 28th June 2019.

Garda Vetting/Access NI and Safeguarding Reminder

Any persons attending this event aged 18 or over must meet the Garda Vetting/Access NI and Safeguarding Training requirements as set out in the Information Pack. Failure to meet these requirements will result in an individual's booking being automatically rejected."
