The financial impact of COVID-19 is affecting our local Scout Groups as well as the provision of local services nationally. We need your help to secure a bridging grant of €2 million to continue to provide Scouting to 34,000 young people in Ireland, from the age of 6 to 26. €1 million will be dispersed to Groups in need while the remaining €1 million will be used to ensure the provision of supports required by Scout Groups from Scouting Ireland.

Gasóga na hÉireann/Scouting Ireland is committed to implementing and promoting measures to protect the dignity of our young people, our adult volunteers and our staff.  We equally encourage respect for all within Gasóga na hÉireann/Scouting Ireland. To this end the Board has developed a Dignity and Respect Charter, in keeping with our Scout Promise and Law

It is designed as a one pager that can be exhibited beside the Safeguarding Statement in all places where we meet, either as Sections, Groups, Committees and right up to the Board Room. The Charter is a companion document to our existing policies on conduct, behaviour, anti-bullying and disputes, etc , and should inform us of our obligations in terms of respecting the dignity of those we share the Scouting Trail with, be it in person or online.
