16th World Scout Moot 2022
Dear <<First Name>>

I hope this email finds you well. Covid-19 has truly changed our lives, and we’ve all had to adapt and face the challenge head-on. This definitely rings true when we look at the affect that Covid-19 has had on our scouting lives over the last 10 months.

However, there is hope, and we can all look forward to a more recognisable scouting trail in the future. Hence my email. Scouting Ireland is hosting the 16th World Scout Moot in 2022 – a 10 day event for Rover aged participants, split into 5 days of Trails spread around the island of Ireland, and 5 days at Basecamp, at Malahide Castle.

As Head of Trails, I need your help – you can make a difference along with your scout Group/County in delivering the biggest World Scout Moot ever; and help create memories for young people from all around the world.

We want to show our international friends the very best of what Ireland has to offer - and that starts with YOU! Wherever YOU live, whatever YOUR scouting experience, YOU have an opportunity to show off YOUR local area, see worldwide Scouting in Action, and involve YOUR local Scout Group or Scout County in a world scout event. YOU can do this by organising a Trail in YOUR locality. We are looking for passionate youth members and adults to get involved and to help run our trails.

The link below will bring you to our Trails Framework – a comprehensive guide to organising a Trail in your area. It goes through the various aspects of putting together a Trail, and what we need from you. A number of online roadshows will take place in the 2nd week of February to compliment the Trails Framework, and to give you an opportunity to speak to members of the Trails Team.
