A Night to Remember

Saturday September 12th was an important milestone for Love a Village Mission.
Here's the whole story.

What a CELEBRATION!

Wow! Unbelievable! The evening was perfect. Everything about it felt like a celebration of what God is doing. All in all it was a tremendous encouragement. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate.
Also some really terrific stuff started brewing that night.

Shower Chatroom

Where do you quiet your spirit to hear from God? Some people love paddling a canoe while the mist rises off the still water of a lake. Others prefer the vaulted ceilings and stained glass of a majestic cathedral. For Julie, it's the shower. Hands down.

Prayer of Dedication & Blessing

So much of our launch party was meaningful. One-on-one conversations, connections with old and new friends, the opportunity to pause and simply say, "Thank you Lord!" When we prayed and anointed Julie for her new leadership role, though, something especially important was happening.

Past, Present & Future Collide

Our launch party included a pretty significant dose of reunion as Julie and Trevor's high school Principal, along with a pair of beloved teachers, joined with former classmates to celebrate how God has been working. I wonder if our high school friend Angelica had any idea what God was going to be doing in her heart.

A Heart to Give

Love a Village is fuelled by generosity. Whether it's giving of time, abilities, or finances, we move forward as families and individuals choosing to make a difference in Malawi. Two guest's stories are great examples of how it all works.

Private Sponsorship Needed
(NON tax receiptable)

Julie and Mackenzie were sitting in the food court with a friend and her daughter this week. Julie was telling them of the story below. The daughter quickly replied, "I wish I could go to school for $1,000!" She realised how very little this is compared to her own university tuition. She just as quickly jumped in and said, "I have a hundred dollars in my drawer that I would like to give towards her tuition."
Here is Stellah's story.
Through a generous private sponsorship that began in 2013, Stellah has been able to do what would have otherwise been impossible - pay her high school tuition and have the supplies required to finish. In fact, we've just learned that she's been accepted to teacher's college (a two year program that costs $1,000 CDN/year). While helping Stellah with this expense is not an official Love a Village program and is therefore not tax receiptable, it is an opportunity that aligns with our values. Without help, she will be unable to attend. Let's open the door to Stellah's future together! To learn more or to contribute toward Stellah's education, email Trevor & Julie Seath by clicking the link below.
