WLAM Judges' Round Table

WLAM's first Judges' Round Table took place on September 21st at the Ann Arbor City Club, and was a resounding success.  We were honored that five distinguished women judges joined us to create an unforgettable event.  Thank you to Judge Darlene O'Brien, Judge Carol Kuhnke, Judge Karen Valvo, Judge Ann Mattson, and Judge Judith Levy.  All of these fine judges had humorous stories, valuable insight, as well as warm, helpful encouragement, and the "speed dating" style was lots of fun.  Pictured below, top, our honored guests, left to right:  Hon. Ann Mattson (15th District Court, retired), Hon. Karen Valvo (15th District Court); Hon. Carol Kuhnke (22nd Circuit Court); Hon. Darlene O'Brien (22nd Circuit Court); and Hon. Judith Levy (U.S. District Court); middle, left to right:  Kyeena Slater, Judge O'Brien, Robyn McCoy, Rita White, and Lindsay Schmidt; and bottom, left to right: Kym London, Suzanne Sukkar, and Anna Frushour.
WLAM and WCBA Annual Tailgate

Come rain or shine, you cannot keep WLAM and WCBA members and their families away from the joint WLAM and WCBA Annual Tailgate, graciously hosted by Elizabeth Jolliffe on September 10, 2016.  Whether sipping the delicious strawberry and mint flavored water provided by Parisa Ghazaeri, or sampling Elizabeth Jolliffe's mouthwatering egg strata, everyone had a great time tailgating at this family friendly event prior to the UM v Central Florida game.  Pictured below: Top left: Elizabeth Jolliffe, Parisa Ghazaeri, and Anna Frushour; top right: Jennifer Lawrence and Parisa Ghazaeri pose with their children, and with the children of other members, on Elizabeth Jolliffe's front steps.  Bottom left: Charlotte Croson, Lori Buiteweg, and Angie Walker;  bottom right: Elizabeth Kitchen-Troop and son Alex.
