Seattle Children's Festival is Back
In-Person After Two Years Online!
Northwest Folklife is thrilled to announce the 9th annual Seattle Children's Festival will take place in-person and online on Oct. 15th, 2022 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. This year will be the first Seattle Children’s Festival back in-person to celebrate the Pacific Northwest community after hosting the event online for the last two years.
Program Highlights
New this year, we invite families to explore the Festival using the Seattle Children’s Festival Atlas. Not only is this a roadmap to all the fun available at the Festival, but it will also feature interactive games, art and educational activities to take home!
The Discovery Zone will return with a variety of hands-on activities for families to explore art making, musical instruments, local foods, nonprofits and more. Make your own animal hat or mask with local artist Jose Orantes!
Learn or practice American Sign Language (ASL) with Visually Speaking in their ASL Lounge! This voices off space will encourage signing with ASL games and activities for all to enjoy and learn from.
On demand videos featuring new performances and favorites from the archives will be available online at nwfolklife.org/scf.
Stay tuned for the full program schedule, launching on Tuesday, Sept. 13!
Northwest Folklife’s year round programs, including Seattle Children’s Festival, are made possible by your donations. Suggested donation for Seattle Children’s Festival is $20.
