Any River... Anytime℠

Early Winter Newsletter, December, 2015
Welcome to our new format for Newsletters. If you have subjects that you feel would benefit our readers drop me an email at chuck@hawkinsflyfishing.com. I'll do my best to address those ideas.Thanks.

We are just coming off a rather strange fall, light migratory runs and warm temps to start out. When the weather hit, rain and some lower temperatures, the steelhead have come. There are good numbers of fish in the Big Manistee River and the ten day forecast shows very reasonable temps. Come on up and fish!

Speaking of small runs, the king salmon numbers have declined by huge amounts. I've done quite a bit of research on the subject. Below I've expressed some opinions of what the future holds.

Have fun and safe winter, we will see you on Any River…Anytime!

Navigating the New Hawkins Outfitters Website

Hawkins Outfitters launched a new website this summer. History has proven that the most popular pages on our site are the river report pages. On the new site's Home Page about half way down on the right hand side is an area entitled "Hawkins Outfitters Blog". This is a chronological list of the most recent items on the blog including any new river reports that we have done. So to find out where we've been fishing and the results just check the blog list.
Of course you can still go to the River Reports link and pick the river you are interested in, click and see the latest report we have done.
Hawkins Outfitters prides itself on giving accurate reports but only when we have recently fished that river. If we haven't been there we don't report on it.
Tight Lines,
Hawk
