SEPTEMBER 2022

Over 70 Impact100 Members and Guests Registered for
Our Member Mixer Event on September 8

On September 8, members and guests gathered at the offices of Impact100 Nashville corporate sponsor Vaco in Brentwood to enjoy beverages and food provided by Vaco; updates on Impact100 provided by President Ginger Duncan, Corporate Sponsorships Director Janet Walls, and Membership Director Angela Vogeli.
A great time was had by all.  Thank you, Vaco!

The Grants Committee is working hard right now reviewing and scoring the grant applications for both our Ending the Cycle and Small and New categories.

On Monday, September 26, we will be announcing the 2022 semi-finalists that will move to the site visit phase of our process. They will be announced via an email from Grants Chair Tiffany Coursey.
The announcement will include a link to register to participate in virtual sessions to learn more about the semi-finalists and the site visit process.

We will host an information session on Thursday, September 29, at 11:30 am, where members can learn more about the semi-finalists and note the dates of the upcoming virtual visits. You can join the information session using this Zoom link.

Virtual Site visits will begin the week of October 3.
Stay tuned for more information on semi-finalists and virtual site visits.

Plan to attend the Annual Voting Event that will take place on November 3, at Studio Bank in Franklin at 1550 W. McEwen Dr., Franklin.  Thanks to event and corporate sponsor Studio Bank for hosting this event and providing food and beverage to our members and non-profit guests.

Please plan to attend this most important event of the year, where members exercise their important role in selecting the non-profits who will receive Impact100’s transformative grants.

We will hear from six (6) non-profit semi-finalists who have been selected by our membership after a long process.  Beginning in May, over 80 non-profits submitted a letter of intent.  From that group, 18 were selected to move forward to complete a full application including financials.  A group of 12-16 will be selected to participate in site visits.  Members who participate in the site visits score the visits, and from that feedback, 6 semi-finalists will be chosen to present to the entire membership at the November 3 event.  You will not want to miss it.

If you can't make the November event, you can read about the organizations in materials that are sent out in advance of the voting event – and you can vote online.   It’s critical that you vote to maintain the democratic process we employ in selecting our grant recipients.

Welcome to
Greater Good Music, one of our new
2022 Corporate Sponsors!

In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and inflation, food insecurity has soared in the US. Greater Good Music is a nonprofit that partners with rock, pop, and country music artists, along with volunteers, on concert tours around the nation to bring mobile food pantries to communities in need before show time. We work with local food banks in concert cities to pinpoint neighborhoods, schools, and community centers, where we can help people who are food insecure or who live in food deserts.

We support Impact100 Nashville because we are also a volunteer-powered community, and we understand the power of coming together to make a collective difference. We are a national organization, but we are also Nashville-originated and focused. At the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, we started a project called Music Feeds Nashville where music artists helped the community by donating truckloads of free groceries to people in the city who had lost their jobs. Before that, founder Sheila Jones worked with country legend Martina McBride to establish a breast cancer research grant at Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center and to develop a giveback event at CMA Fest each year feeding Nashvillians in need.

Contact us to get on our email list or to volunteer with us, suggest projects to us, or tell us about a music artist that you'd like to work alongside helping the world. Email us at info@greatergoodmusic.org or https://www.greatergoodmusic.org/get-in-touch

Meg Epstein, CA South, an Impact100 Nashville corporate sponsor

Trina Frierson, Mending Hearts, an Impact100 Nashville grant recipient.

We are excited to announce that our November 3 voting event is hosted and sponsored by Studio Bank.  We are grateful for this level of support for our members and grant recipients.  Here is a little about them:

Studio Bank started like most things in Nashville, with a group of friends and a dream: What if a bank could become a force for creativity, instead of an obstacle to it? With that question in mind, we began to rethink and reinvent the typical banking experience. Fusing innovative technology with a zeal for genuine hospitality, we created a bank that is uncommonly modern and surprisingly human. Studio Bank represents a diverse coalition of local founders, board members, owners, advisors, and clients.

And in 2019 a small group of us came together to create a space for women to connect, collaborate, and create – it’s called The Studio Women’s Collective. Now including over 700 members, The Collective connects through events and intimate gatherings – and makes a point to support organizations and non-profits uplifting women in our city. Enter Impact100 Nashville. Studio Bank is proud to support an organization directly aligned with our mission to empower more women to participate in making a difference in our community.
