Fancy a bit of retic digging or olive picking?
View this email in your browser
We had a successful session of trench digging (thankfully without hitting limestone!) but have a final run to go. We'll be digging in this 2nd main retic line this Sunday (April 3rd) afternoon.

Join us from 4pm with a shovel in hand, gloves and closed shoes, and collectively we can make this trench-digging light work.
Pick, press and bottle some WGV olive oil!
Want to join in on some olive picking and be part of creating the first batch of WGV community olive oil? We are planning a pick for weekend of 16th/17th April. If you are interested in helping to pick and finding about the process - or if you have an olive tree we could use please contact us on ...... And we will be in touch.
Community Planting Day - Third weekend in May.
Join us for another enjoyable event to help plant more than half the orchard, create clay decorations, check out the official “to be completed this year" shed plans, have your face painted and just generally see how much the orchard has grown since last Autumn. More details coming soon...
WANTED: Sweet Car Boot Sale Goods
We'll have a stall at the upcoming WGV Primary School Car Boot Sale - Sunday 1st May. So…… we would love donations of quality, interesting items to sell so we can raise funds for ongoing orchard activities. Why not hunt through your cupboards and see what you might be able to say goodbye to? Next time you are walking through the orchard you can not only be glad to see it flourishing, but you can also be glad of that extra space at home! We are looking for quality not quantity (so don’t forget the Salvo’s and give us everything!) but if you have something that might tempt the eye then email us and we’ll gladly pick up from WGV or surrounds.
What's happening in our Orchard?
Our Paw Paw grove is growing to get these heat-loving trees in before the cool weather arrives and hence ahead of the May community planting day.
