As the new committee, we wish to thank the previous committee who spent a lot of time organising events.
Some of us on the committee have been previously involved and we are aiming to bring you all the favourite Swiss events as well as hopefully some new ones. Our names and contacts are below!
We want to keep Swiss Traditions alive so you can either share them with your children or, as adults, you can relive them from your youth or your time in Switzerland.
Social media and the ease of communicating with family in the home country has made cultural clubs redundant in some ways. However, it is still not the same unless you participate at the Samichlaus/Pere Noel or a bonfire or a fondue and meet people of the same spirit.
If you have any ideas of events, please let us know so we can try to incorporate that into our annual calendar.
The annual picnic is held on the property in Gidgegannup on Sunday the 15th of November. This is an informal event where you bring your own food and drinks and catch up with others.
We have the traditional 'Stei-Stosse' (Rock throwing) and other games.
Please come along for a day of fun...arrival is from 11am.

For those wanting to become members, please see membership information below.
The club wants to grow its membership and the engagement. We can only exist if we have an active membership. If there is no club, there will also not be any functions.
For every event we offer, there are discounts for our members and additionally you get to enjoy camping at the property in Gidgegannup.
For instance, the children of members are getting a free bag at the Samichlaus / Pere Noel, compared to the cost of $15 per child if you are a non-member. At most events, we offer a $10 discount for members, so by paying your annual fee, you are benefiting greatly.
Since half of the club year has nearly gone, we are offering a discount for people who decide to sign up now - the membership will last until 30 June 2021:
Family Members - $55 (instead of $75)
Single Members - $35 (instead of $50)
Please complete the membership form
and return to us!

Staying in touch with Covid in Switzerland
Switzerland is currently going through a difficult time with Covid-19 infections; it is sometimes hard to find information that is not sensationalised. We have come across an independent organisation that sends out a daily update at 7pm Swiss time. For those that are interested, it is free to sign up to the 7pm newsletter, unfortunately it is in German language only - Republik
