Greetings everyone
Hopefully you all manage to stay dry during these blustery autumn days.

For our Easter weekend, we were able to welcome a large amount of people to the property; they enjoyed the lovely camping weather. It was also great to see a few 'day-visitors' come along and check out the facilities. Thank you very much to Agnes for organising and facilitating the Easter Egg coloring - the children thoroughly enjoyed that.

The German Film Festival is returning to Perth in June. The Swiss Club of WA has been able to secure 5 double passes to give away, please see below for the competition that we are running.

Unfortunately we have been unable to obtain a suitable place for the Metzgete / Slaughterfeast and will have to skip this event.

On the upcoming long weekend, on the Sunday, we are having the busy bee on our property. We are looking at doing a clean up and building the bonfire for our Swiss National Day celebration. We hope to get a good crowd, as we all know, many hands make light work!

German Film Festival / Swiss Movies

The German Film Festival returns to Perth 2 - 22 June and of the 25 films in this year's programme, there are two from Swiss filmmakers.

CAGED BIRDS - Based on a true story, this intriguing drama set in the 1980s delves into the unlikely alliance between a young lawyer fighting Switzerland's antiquated prison system and a criminal.

MONTE VERITA - A gorgeous historical drama set in the early 20th century that centres on a young mother and a group of society dropouts who search for a free-thinking paradise at Monte Verita.

You can see the full programme online at www.germanfilmfestival.com.au

We had a query from someone in Switzerland if anyone has space to park a Landcruiser. They are looking for a property that has an undercover area of about 3m height to store the car for a couple of years. Please email Phil if you are interested.

Kind regards
