Findings from local consultations in Peru and Kenya on sustainable management of recycled metals
Local consultations with formal and informal recyclers as well with local authorities and Governments' representatives were held in Peru and Kenya on the Draft 1 of the ISO document on "Guidance Principles for the Sustainable Management of Secondary Metals" (Guidance Principles). See more here.
Guidance Principles for the Sustainable Management of Secondary Metals - Survey on stakeholders' expectations and concerns
If you are concerned by the recovery of secondary metals, we will be grateful if you could participate in our survey on motivations, expectations and concerns of stakeholders in relation to the Guidance Principles for the Sustainable Management of Secondary Metals. The aim of the SRI Roundtable and the ISO International Workshop Agreement (IWA) 19 is to collect this information to better address them in the development process of the Guidance Principles and in compliance with the ISEAL requirements. Until March 31: Your review of the Guidance Principles – Spanish and French versions available
In addition to the English version, Spanish and French versions of the Draft 1 of the ISO IWA Guidance Principles for the Sustainable Management of Secondary Metals are now available. Provide us with comments by March 31, 2016 using this template.

Switzerland signs agreement with Egypt to support E-waste recycling in the country
Our SRI project in Egypt has received further political support through an official agreement, which has been signed on 10th of March between The Embassy of Switzerland and Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Read more here.

The World Resources Forum invites you to join the E-waste Challenge MOOC
The first ever Massive Open Online Course on E-waste: http://learning.climate-kic.org/courses/e-waste-mooc. The e-waste challenge MOOC was developed in partnership by the UNEP Secretariat of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions (BRS), the European Institute of Innovation and Technology Climate-KIC, the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium and the World Resources Forum (WRF).
