Carousel Cap with Fran Jepperson.
Fran's Carousel Cap is both playful and cozy, a lovely introduction to basic brioche knitting and a perfect winter project. Materials include 100g Merino DK ore Medley (50g each in two colors), 2 pairs of 16" US 7 needles, US7 dpns. Pompom making will also be discussed, and pre-class homework will be assigned!
This is a 1-session class and will meet Saturday, January 11th, 10:30am-12:30pm. Class fee is $25.
Traveler's Vest II with Fran Jepperson.
The Traveler's Vest has seen several incarnations in different yarns over the years, and this one made in our hand dyed Merino 840 is by far our favorite one yet! Simple garter stitch, mitered squares, and lots of color play are the focus here, and make for a wonderfully warm and wearable garment to get you through to spring. Materials include 6-7 skeins Merino 840 in different colors and 24" circular US 7 needles. Lori is dyeing some special skeins just for this project.
This is a 2-session class and will meet Saturday, January 25th & Saturday, February 22nd, 10:30am-12:30pm with plenty of in-between time for the bulk of the knitting. Class fee is $50.
Using Ravelry More Effectively with Gail Brown.
Ravelry is an incredible online resource for knitters and crocheters of all stripes, but can sometimes feel pretty overwhelming. If you're wanting to learn the ins and outs of Ravelry and put it to more effective use (how to find and save patterns using Ravelry's wonderful filtering tools, how to post details of your own projects for future reference, etc), this is the class for you! You must already have a Ravelry account, and we will all be sharing our Ravelry names with each other. Bringing a laptop or tablet to class is highly recommended so that you can click around and do searching during the post-class Q&A time.
This is a 2-session class and will meet Saturday, February 1st & Saturday, February 8th, 10:30am-11:30am (plus follow-up Q&A time both days). Class fee is $25.
