New Grant  for Wildlife and Environmental Conservation Society of Zambia (WECSZ)
With support from CEPF, WECSZ  has began working on a project dubbed "Conservation and Forest Management in the Mafinga Hills Priority Key Biodiversity Area of Zambia". Through the grant, WECSZ will help to implement the initial stages of the Conservation Action Plan for the Mafinga Hills. The project commenced in September 2016 and will end in August 2018. Congratulations WECSZ ! 
 


Integrated Management of Bururi Forest Nature Reserve, Burundi
With support from CEPF, Association Burundaise Pour la Protection des Oiseaux (ABO) has been involved in the conservation of Bururi Forest Nature Reserve through improved stakeholder engagement. Leonidas Nzigiyimpa who manages the project, talks about the activities undertaken in conserving the forest reserve. Watch the video  here.

Transfer  of  knowledge for successful management of KBAs
This visit was recently held in Mbeya, Tanzania and took place from 11-14 October. It focused on the project of Designing management and monitoring plans for the Livingstone mountain forests (Mshola, Mdandu, Sakaranyumo and Madilu). The main objective was to enhance the transfer of first –hand experience, skills and lesson learnt for successful management of KBAs. Read more
