We pass through Winter Solstice to days of growing light
What lays before us are dreams we meet in the night
What’s done is done, what’s to be is ours to find
With eyes as bright as diamonds
A heart as wide as a river
The shadows disappear
As we dance out of the mine

This is what I want to say, I’m not sure if this a form of ‘New Year’s Resolutions’ or whether it is the uncovering or articulation of ideals whose standard I wish to keep as roadmap in my soul.

Here it is.

I carry the gifts of grace, compassion, thankfulness, thoughtfullness, talent, understanding, support, and caring I have received this past year with me every day. These gifts will last much longer than the beautiful lights and wrapping that come with this season. Into the New Year I will bring a yearning and determination to search for and discover the highest, truest, deepest meaning to be manifested in this greatest gift of all, the gift of life itself.  This is what I can bring to the world around me, to my family, my friends, my fellow artists, to ‘the team’.

To those of you whom I may not be aware of, but who have taken the time and effort to listen, support, pass on, write about, play, acknowledge in any way, I look forward to continuing the adventure of discovery. Let’s keep the great glittering ball of joy and beauty in the air. Pass it on to your neighbor or a stranger. If we do this, there will be fewer and fewer strangers and more and more as-yet-unknown travels to the depths of each others hearts.
