Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States. It’s not a disease reserved for the older population either. It can affect people of all ages and all backgrounds. But there’s good news. With continued education and healthy choices, your risk can be reduced.
Sometimes stress and busy schedules can really take a toll on your heart health. You may have sleepless nights and not eat the right foods. With everything you need to get done in a day, who has time to fit in a good workout?
It’s time to put yourself at the top of your priority list and be good to your heart. It’s not too late, nor too early. Today is the right time to start. I'm here to tell you, two things that can positively affect the health of your heart are exercise and massage.

Exercise, as you know, will get your heart pumping. Elevating your rate will pump all that blood through your body and stimulate various brain chemicals. It helps you feel more relaxed and even make you happier. With regular exercise, you will work on strengthening your heart muscle.
Along with exercise, regular massage therapy benefits your heart too. According to, "Massage is capable of returning your heart to its normal functional levels so that there are no threats to your life due to a malfunctioning cardiovascular system."
In fact, massage can:
  • reduce the risk of heart ailments
  • improve circulation in your body
  • provide relief from anxiety and stress
  • help strengthen your immune system
Regular exercise and massage therapy go hand-in-hand for the health of your heart. If you have aches and pains that prevent you from getting out there and starting your exercise routine, we need to talk. Identifying the root of your pain is important and different massage therapies may help. There are so many benefits available from massage. It can transform your lifestyle, leave you feeling positive, and help improve the outlook of your daily life.
Now that you know how to help your heart from the outside, be sure to take care of it on the inside with healthy foods and lots of water.
