Have you ever wanted to curl up in a ball, under the covers, with no light, and no moving, because of an excruciating headache?

Do your headaches make you nauseated? Do they make you want to scream or cry, yet you don't dare because that would only intensify the pain?

This is the pain migraines sufferers feel. Many people describe their headaches as migraines, but they may or may not be experiencing an actual migraine. Healthline has a good article and graphic to help you distinguish between a severe headache and a true migraine. I encourage you to check it out.

Whether you suffer from headaches or migraines, there are massage therapy treatments that can bring you relief. If you suffer from migraines, I am happy to announce that I am now fully operational with all of my cryotherapy tools, and would love the opportunity to help relieve your suffering. Check out the article below to learn more about the right treatment for migraines.

I hope you (or someone you love) are not suffering from migraines or chronic headaches, but if you are, I am here when you need me! Be sure to give me a call to see what treatment may be right for you.

The Right Kind of Treatment Can Help Your Migraines

Migraines are a condition that causes a neurovascular change in the brain that may or may not cause a headache. A  migraine is a complicated physiological occurrence. Migraines often cause:
  • severe throbbing pain/pulsing sensation
  • usually pain on only one side of the head
  • nausea or vomiting
  • extreme sensitivity to light and sound
Generally speaking, massage will not help your migraine symptoms. However, with the cryotherapy tools and my continuing education course through the American Massage Therapy Association for migraine mitigation, I am ready to help ease your migraine pain. The course has prepared me to understand:
  • the different migraine types
  • phases
  • triggers
  • symptoms
  • approaches to treatments
The best time to receive treatment is when you are suffering from an active migraine. I am sensitive to the fact that it is hard to travel when you are suffering, therefore on-site treatment is available.

Body Mechanics is here for you when you need us! Feel free to give us a call at 417-719-1591, send us an email with any questions, or visit our website and schedule an appointment.
