1LoveMalvern Newsletter
1LoveMalvern (formerly known as Malvern Neighbourhood Action Partnership (MNAP)) is a collaborative of residents, agency members and other stakeholders that strengthens the various communities within Malvern. 1LoveMalvern achieves community transformation by building community capacity, developing innovative initiatives, leveraging new resources and providing opportunities for local residents to receive training, improved access to services, and an increased voice in shaping their community.
With the ongoing debates about transit, Toronto seems to be at a standstill about what will shape Scarborough's transit landscape. Malvern seems to be getting the short end with no major investment coming along to North-east Scarborough, but we can changed that by informing our local politicians that we really need it. See below ways to participate in the online campaign to get Malvern's transit on the City's agenda.
Next 1LoveMalvern meeting

The next monthly meeting will be on June 21, 2016. The network meetings will be on a break for July and August and will resume in September. Learn more about key areas that Malvern is working on, including food security, youth justice, youth engagement, community safety, employment and education. Contribute your ideas and energy to tackle the community issues that matter to you.
Next Meeting Date & Time: June 21, 2016. 5:30 to 8:00 PM
Location: Malvern Family Resource Centre - 90 Littles Rd - Boardroom

Malvern's Transit Concerns
Malvern's Transportation Working Group continues to engage residents to put Malvern's originally proposed LRT back on the City's transit agenda. Members from the workgroup have voiced their concerns on the recent transit forums hosted in Scarborough, but they need your help in making that voice even bigger before the June  28 Executive Committee meeting. Please visit this website to download the image and participate in the online campaign to inform elected officials about the transit concerns in North East Scarborough and to fast-track the construction of the LRT into our community. You may also access this special e-blast to directly email or tweet the campaign to local politicians.

Read the most recent Scarborough Mirror article on the lack of transit in Malvern and also the heated debates around the proposed subway to Scarborough Town Centre, as described on National Post.
