Malvern Neighbourhood Action Partnership (MNAP) is a collaborative of residents, agency members and other stakeholders that strengthens the various communities within Malvern. MNAP achieves community transformation by building community capacity, developing innovative initiatives, leveraging new resources and providing opportunities for local residents to receive training, improved access to services, and an increased voice in shaping their community.
Message

Hello everyone! Its great to have summer in full swing! Especially with all the events, festivals and Pan Am activities animating our communities. Hopefully you've been able to participate in some of those already, and if you haven't been able to there's still tonnes of events yet to happen over the summer.

I'd also like to share the same message from the last e-newsletter because we have many new subscribers:

Based on the discussion at the last MNAP meeting, the group had decided to continue to build on the 1LoveMalvern brand and make it synonymous with MNAP's work. Renaming the newsletter and e-blast campaigns as 1LoveMalvern is one step in that process. The different workgroups are increasing the use of the 1LoveMalvern Facebook and @1lovemalvern Twitter accounts for the different events to engage local youth and community members in the online conversations.

If you have any suggestions to make this process more effective and help reach out more people so that we can share 1LoveMalvern news to more people in the city, please feel free to contact me at dansari@mfrc.org

And please don't forget to tag @1LoveMalvern during your events and post any upcoming events on our 1LoveMalvern Facebook page!

1LoveMalvern Branding

As an ongoing process, the 1LoveMalvern website is being updated and worked on regularly. It is being used to streamline all online presence for 1LoveMalvern activities. As discussed at the last MNAP meeting, the 1LoveMalvern brand is currently in the process of being synonymous with MNAP work, and everything related to MNAP will be shared online under the 1LoveMalvern umbrella.

Feel free to use the 1LoveMalvern Facebook page and @1lovemalvern Twitter to promote upcoming events and any community updates as we are trying to reach out to as many people as possible through these platforms.

Since this is of course a team effort, any suggestions for the website, Facebook or Twitter  is welcome. You may contact either Dania at dansari@mfrc.org or Wynette at residentengagement.mnap@gmail.com

Good afternoon community partners & residents,

Thank you for your continued support in the redevelopment of the Malvern S.P.O.T. At this time the S.P.O.T. welcomes applications for space in the fall. Furthermore, the S.P.O.T. welcomes agency contributions towards a sustainable operating model for the S.P.O.T. Contributions can take the form of financial/funding, staffing, programming and other instrumental supports.

Interested in delivering programming out of The SPOT in Malvern this Fall?

Please complete the attached application form and submit it as per the instructions, noting the deadlines listed on the form.

The attached Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is a template that will be used to formalize relationships with successful applicants and is attached for your information only at this stage.  There is no need to submit a draft MOU with your application.  We will work with all successful applicants in creating a MOU and recognize that this will involve some adaptations, especially for smaller grassroots groups.

Let us know if you have any questions about the application or the process involved in applying to make use of the space at The SPOT.

Thanks for your interest in continuing to have The SPOT provide vital service and youth space in the Malvern community.
