Digital citizenship modules


These self-paced modules can be used for personal or staff professional development. Each module contains different activities that include questions for reflection. These can be worked through individually or with your colleagues. The modules are designed to be flexible. Select the content that is relevant to you and your school from each of them.  


Teacher standards and e-learning


Teachers can use the information on Enabling e-Learning to develop goals related to the standards, which incorporate digital technologies for teaching, collaboration, and recording or sharing evidence.
  • New – Tapasā video resources from the Teacher's Council are included on our updated page. These videos include conversation starters and links to specific Standards to support teachers set goals and exemplify their practice. 
 


Minecraft Edu Training Series Introducing Ngā Motu


Minecraft Education is free to all schools as part of the Microsoft Agreement. The NZ Microsoft Education team are providing a series of hands-on introductory workshops that support teachers to use Minecraft as a vehicle for learning in the classroom.

Make a machine INTERFACE/MOTAT Minecraft student Competition 2019

Students from St Hilda's CollegiateThe challenge is for students to design and create a 'machine' of their choice in Minecraft, then record a video showing how it works. The competition is divided into three categories – primary, intermediate, and secondary.
