"As a construction trainer, of course, I'm a big believer in hands-on tangible work. I love turning kids on to cordless drills and chop saws. At the wrap-up yesterday it was great hearing how one girl said she was apprehensive about the chop saw but tried it and LOVED it. I don't get tired of that.
But obviously, there is an even more important level to it...getting these young people to think about and ask questions about houselessness.
Working on this project helped with that. I heard some good questions and some thoughtful reflections about houselessness. What you said to our groups, and how you said it added such an important dimension. I appreciate it."
