📸You need to get pictures of:📸
1. Three City parks in Oliver!
Oliver has less park space per resident than most other neighbourhoods, less than half of the City of Edmonton target.
2. Three historic resources in Oliver (hint: look for a plaque)!
The Oliver neighbourhood was originally called the West End by settlers.
3. Your favourite piece of art in Oliver!
A current city councillor is the artist of one major piece of public art in our community.
4. The site of the former Oliver Community League Hall!
The former hall was donated to the community league by Molson Canada in the 1960s. The building dated back to the 1920s.
5. Two seniors residences in Oliver!
More than 15% of Oliver residents are over the age of 65.
6. The stones with the dates that the two elementary schools in Oliver were built!
There are almost as many children in Oliver as Westmount – just 300 fewer.
7. Your favourite recreational activity in Oliver (how do you spend your leisure time?)!
The City of Edmonton is currently developing a recreation plan for Oliver Park and the community in general.
8. Your favourite feature of the newly constructed Jasper Ave!
The first phase of Jasper Avenue replacement covers 109 to 114 St.
9. A spot that represents the neighbourhood to you!
Our Uncover Oliver campaign wants everyone to reflect on what we each value in this community.
RecreACTION Committee Meeting

Free EFCL Memberships
New Community League signups through the EFCL will be FREE across the city in honor of Community League Day (Saturday, Sept 19). Even though OCL memberships are already free, members of other Edmonton communities can join in on the celebrations and enjoy a year of community involvement!
#UncoverOliver Reminder
#UncoverOliver is still going strong, and we’re continuing to work with the City of Edmonton to find the best possible way to engage you all on the topic of a community name change! For full details on the campaign and ways that you can get involved, visit UncoverOliver.ca!
