Welcome everyone to the final leg of our 2015 choir season! I hope you've had a great year singing with us and made some new friends along the way. Here are a few things to update you on for the coming weeks and a few interesting things for next year.
Looking forward to some lovely Christmas music over the next few weeks. Sing on!
Please note the call times for the two Christmas performances on the right column of this newsletter. Please download the following
for your reference - please note, while the choir songs are the same for both concerts, the run sheets are different.
On Monday 7th December we are having our final break-up party, 7pm at the Warradale hotel (function room). There is a varied menu so you are welcome to order dinner or just some light refreshments if you prefer. Please also bring a wrapped gift to the value of $10 for our group Kris Kringle
. It can be yummy, silly, practical, festive or otherwise!
2015 Choir Survey
Your input to the success of our choir is highly valued. Please take a few moments to complete a short, anonymous survey
about your involvement this year, thank you!
2016 has some exciting things to look forward to, including a Jazz workshop in Term 1 and our major concert at the Old Adelaide Gaol in October! There will also be changes to some choir support roles. We farewell secretary Christine O'Brien
for the year as she gallavants across the world, and welcome Cheryl Carter
into the role. The choir builders team (committee) will be changing membership, with discontinuing members Christine O'Brien
, Sandra Morrison
and Larissa Bailey
, and new members Cheryl Carter
, Annette Pelling
and Adrian Miller
. Treasurer Jen Gilbert
, Sally Hyam
and I will be continuing on the team. Annette Pelling
will be stepping up as assistant director on performance days to assist with uniforms, folders, placement of singers, and other preparatory tasks as needed.
CAN YOU HELP?
Our amazing pianist Heidi
will also be jet-setting around the world in Term 2 next year, so we will be on the look-out for a replacement during this term. If you know of anyone who may be interested in playing for our rehearsals please let me know.
Happy New Year!
Thank you for another wonderful year of joyous singing and I forward to seeing you in February. In the meantime, have yourself a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
