For Flora Cruz, music is so much more than a form of expression. Singing since the age of 16, in the Church, she witnessed firsthand how music transforms lives and breaks chains for many people. Through that appreciation of this form of worship, Flora discovered a broader audience in 2008 when she recorded her album, Dulce Melodia, co-written and produced by indie label Mixtape Sessions’ Adam Cruz.

Dulce Melodia introduced the House scene to Flora’s distinctive vocals and an uplifting message that speaks of relationships with love, God and each other. Influenced by several genres, the “sweet melodies” include Dance/Electronic, Funk, Soul, Latin, Pop, and Jazz music. Each inspiring groove empowers the listener to live life to the fullest. Dulce Melodia is available for download across digital sites iTunes, Traxsource, Bandcamp and Beatport

Flora has performed live at many notable venues including: NJPAC’s Sound of the City, the Lincoln Park House Music Festival in Newark, NJ and at Santos’ Party House for the Kerri Chandler Hologram Project, NYC and continues to perform live. Most recently a passion project took her voice and talents to a more classical twist. As part of her community outreach, she performed in an Opera that stretched her abilities to sing in Spanish in Jersey City and Bloomfield NJ.

With new releases out in 2015, her focus in 2016 and beyond is on projects that reflect a level of experience that comes from what true love, loss and growth bring. With her management team in place, Flora is positioned to share the wealth of life’s adventures and a maturity of voice and spirit that are bound to further set free what cannot be controlled… the passionate belief in who she is and the strength to express it.

Adam Cruz has been a DJ since he was 10 years old and a music producer for over a decade. His love of music led him to work directly with historic dance music label MAW Records for producing duo Masters at Work ("Little Louie" Vega and Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez) and later, with the legendary disco label West End Records, founded by disco pioneer Mel Cheren (called "The Godfather of Disco.")

In 2004, Adam became the A&R and Production Director for that illustrious label and in 2009, he was appointed Vice President. Adam has signed over 50 musical copyrights, co-produced a documentary film about Mel Cheren and worked with producers and artists from all over the world, including: Blaze, MAW, DJ Spinna, hip-hop pioneers Marley Marl and Red Alert, and many others.

Today, Adam runs his own record label, Mixtape Sessions, and Honeycomb Music, alongside long-time music partner Josh Milan. For Mixtape Sessions, Adam has released his junior "Freedom" LP, a fantastic follow up to his critically acclaimed "Emospiritual Travelin" LP. As a producer, he has built a solid reputation for his creative production style and song-writing prowess. Adam has recorded with award winning artists such as: Eddie Nicholas, Flora Cruz, Gerideau, Lillias White, Manchildblack, queen AaMinah and several others. As a DJ, he spins an energetic blend of Jazz, Funk, Latin, and soulful Dance music.
