Policy Memo to the President of Ukraine on the United States after the election of its 45th President. Institute of World Policy

IWP has developed 15 recommendations for the Ukrainian government in order to maintain its close relations with the US after elections of the new President.. The document was written by IWP analysts in the cooperation with former US Ambassadors to Ukraine John Herbst and Steven Pifer.

Transition economy: What is the Next Step for Ukraine

Two articles by Christopher A. Hartwell present a good example of an economic rundown of Ukrainian economy and trade sector. Being a transition economy, Ukraine needs to face challenges of reforming the economy from a post-Soviet type and fighting corruption, advancing free market reforms, and improving governance. First article explains the current economic divergence between Ukraine and Poland, as a neighboring former transition economy and the second analyses the importance of free and open land sales and acquisition of modern property rights standards.

Reporting on the Minsk II Agreement: Effect of Russian Narratives in French and German Media. Institute for European Studies. Vrije Universiteit Brussel

Despite the increased attention to the Minsk II agreement, there is still a gap in the different interpretations of the agreement and its implementation. The interpretation of Minsk II is important, particularly within the EU Member States which hold sway over the decision as to whether to continue sanctions against Russia. This Policy Brief analyses the narratives presented in the web-based news articles that are published by outlets supported by the Russian government.
