What's New in April at The Worthington Library

Nature facts shared through the lens of a fairy tale. The story is loosely themed around Hansel & Gretel (and fortunately not the Grimm tale). While wandering through the woods, Hansel & Gretel explore plants and their fruits. Illustrations and diagrams help readers identify plants on their adventure. Junior Nonfiction
A ladybug on a plant, a woodpecker on a branch, a monarch butterfly, and a frog in a person’s hand. Title reads, Citizen Scientist: Be a part of the scientific discovery from your own backyard. Loree Griffin Burns photographs by Ellen Harasimowicz
Be a citizen scientist with resources for scientific observations in your backyard. The book includes a collection of nature photos and facts along with a look into the work of nature scientists. Junior Nonfiction
A collection of climate change essays capturing the subtle — absence of chirping insects on a summer night — to the unmistakeable — rise of carbon dioxide levels and intensifying weather disasters around the world. Edited by Amy Brady (executive director of Orion magazine) and Tajja Isen (editor in chief of Catapult magazine). NEW Adult Nonfiction
The text reads, “The Worthington Library National Library Week April 23 to 29, 2023.” Two stacked books are shown with two animated hearts.
