Book Fair

Parent Volunteers are needed. Click here to sign up!
Don’t forget to join us for the Book Fair Family Night and Ice Cream Social, 6-8pm in the school gym, Friday, October 11th! Enjoy a treat with your QH community and then check out all the books and activities in the gymnasium.  We have a big selection planned for you this year.  You will also have an opportunity to purchase books for your child’s classroom through our Teacher Wish List program

If you would like to donate a gently used book for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, the PTO will be collecting them at the Book Fair Family Night!

Ice Cream Social

Join us Friday, October 11th from 6-8 pm for the Quarry Hill Annual Ice Cream Social during Family Night at the Book Fair. We will have ice cream and a wide assortment of delicious toppings, so you can make you own sundae before or after picking up some great books! Registration forms will be sent home this week. 

To make these events successful, we can always use some extra hands. Please sign up on the link below if you are able to come help us setup/cleanup, scoop ice cream, or load on toppings.

Student Council

Has your child heard from their student council class representatives? This Friday, in honor of Family Book Night, your child can come to school dressed up as his or her favorite book character. This is optional. Please wear appropriate shoes!

Library Helpers Needed

The library will need helpers every day! Feel free to bring your younger children who aren't in school yet! Mrs. Pesature, our fabulous librarian, will be there during designated times to show you the ropes, it's easy and fun, I promise! Over 100 books are returned DAILY and she needs help shelving them each day!  Please make sure you have your clearances before signing up!  Click here to sign up or read more about it!

Auction at the Inn

Friends of Quarry Hill -- How about a nice evening out with some of your Quarry Hill friends while enjoying great food, drinks, entertainment, and awesome things to buy? Sound good? Then book your babysitter for ​Saturday, November 16th from 6:30-9:30 ​and join us for our FIRST Quarry Hill Auction at the Washington Crossing Inn. Your invitation is in the mail and should be arriving shortly!
We will have plenty of Silent auction baskets as well as a Live auction with exciting things to bid on including a trip to Disney, a custom made cocktail table, show and sporting event tickets and more! This will be our biggest fundraiser of the year! Tickets are $75 per person and will include entertainment for the evening, food, wine and beer (other alcohol is available for purchase). Please RSVP to​ and send in payment by cash or check with your students in an envelope marked "QH Auction 2019." You can make your checks payable to "Quarry Hill PTO." Please help us make our First Auction a huge success! We hope to see you all there!

Miler's Club

Miler's school-wide challenge, "Can we run to Disneyland?" is ON! Grab your sneakers and join us on the playground:

After running over 300 miles our first week, it's possible we may make it the rest of the 2,427 miles! Let's GO!!!! ...Calling all parents, particularly 3rd, 4th and 5th grade pare​nts, to sign-up:

A special shout-out to the Parents and Grandmother who already signed-up:THANK YOU! 

Be in the know: Miler’s Club is held during 2-5th grade recess on Tuesdays and Fridays. Please have your children wear sneakers and bring water bottles on these days. During Miler's Club recess kids can run/walk 0.25 mile laps. Laps are tallied and for every 20 laps they receive a special toe tag charm from Mr. Wright. 

Miler's need your help: Come for any 2-5th grade Miler’s Club recess slot and record laps run by students. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS for Miler’s Club to ‘run’ consistently and successfully!! This is a nice way to see your kids during the day while being outside. Feel free to bring your little ones, the more the merrier! You can even run/walk with your kids as long as there are enough volunteers to also tally laps.

Ski Club

The Quarry Hill Ski and Snowboard Club (QHSSC) is back for the 2020 ski season! The QHSSC has been an ongoing tradition at Quarry Hill Elementary for many years. This is a great way to introduce your child/children to an amazing winter activity that they can enjoy for the rest of their lives. Our ski and snowboard club is designed for all abilities - whether your child is a first timer or an expert on the slopes. We will be traveling to Bear Creek Mountain ( with a target return time of 9:45.Click below to read about the QHSSC!

Protecting Our Kids

On November 6th at 6 p.m. Pennsbury School District will be holding an informational event for our Pennsbury families.  We have invited an expert from the FBI to present on cyber safety and the Caron Foundation will present on the dangers of vaping.

The event will be held at Pennwood Middle School Auditorium. This is a parent only event. Please spread the word and join us if you can.

Volunteer Clearances

If you would like to start obtaining your volunteer clearances, please click here. They need to be renewed every 60 months (5 years). If you want to participate in your child's classroom or go on field trips you must have these filled out!
