Ski Club

The Quarry Hill Ski and Snowboard Club (QHSSC) is back for the 2020 ski season! The QHSSC has been an ongoing tradition at Quarry Hill Elementary for many years. This is a great way to introduce your child/children to an amazing winter activity that they can enjoy for the rest of their lives. Our ski and snowboard club is designed for all abilities - whether your child is a first timer or an expert on the slopes. We will be traveling to Bear Creek Mountain ( with a target return time of 9:45.Click below to read about the QHSSC!

Miler's Club

2 days of rain didn't defeat your Miler's! Our QH kids have run a total 399 miles in 3 days! Want your kids to sleep well on Tuesday and Friday nights? Send them to join their Miler's Friends at recess!

STATS: Ten kids have run 5+ miles in only 3 days- they will be awarded Toe Tags. Twenty more are within 5 laps of earning their first toe tags- ask your kid if they think they will earn one this Autumn! There's also a stellar group of 4th grade kids who are the Cheerleaders! Way to go, Quarry Hill!

Calling all parents, particularly of 3rd, 4th and 5th graders, to sign-up:

A special shout-out to the Parents & Grandmother who already signed-up:THANK YOU! Your kids love seeing you cheering them on!

Be in the know: Miler’s Club is held during 2-5th grade recess on Tuesdays and Fridays. Please have your children wear sneakers and bring water bottles on these days. During Miler's Club recess kids can run/walk 0.25 mile laps. Laps are tallied and for every 20 laps they receive a special toe tag charm from Mr. Wright.

Miler's need your help: Come for any 2-5th grade Miler’s Club recess slot and record laps run by students. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS for Miler’s Club to ‘run’ consistently and successfully!! This is a nice way to see your kids during the day while being outside. Feel free to bring your little ones, the more the merrier! You can even run/walk with your kids as long as there are enough volunteers to also tally laps. See Sign-up Genius for more info
