Message from the CEO
Dear all,

Our neighborhood has evolved from a bunch of peaceful villages and agricultural fields into a zone filled with hi-tech and manufacturing industries. When KIADB allocated plots for various industries, they planned it around the erstwhile village roads.

Fast forward thirty years, our road are groaning under the heavy load of traffic. Much as we work to alleviate these issues and encourage public and shared transport options, available road widths are no match for the today’s traffic needs.

To this end, ELCITA has been working to improve road widths especially and turnings.

RMUs had to be shifted. It involved getting approval from BESCOM and handling high voltage cables. Light poles, utility lines, camera pole, drains, sewage pits and more had to be moved - all in all very complex projects. Some of you were concerned about the trees cut - rest assured we explored all avenues before taking that decision, and will be planting more to compensate.

We have worked to evict encroachers and encouraged owners to provide additional space where required for smoother intersection traffic.

ELCITA acknowledges and is deeply grateful to Infosys, Wipro, Shiv Traders Timberyard, Mr. Aijaz Mohammed, Mr. Manjunath, and Mr. Mukesh who have willingly given up the edge portions of their land.

Waste to Vegetables

ELCITA has set up an Organic Waste Composting plant at Electronics city, West Phase which is producing rich compost. A new addition to this project is the cultivation of organically grown vegetables with the compost made out of leaf litter and vegetable waste. Tomatoes, carrots, ladies finger, Green chilli, Ridge gourd, Pumpkin  are some of the vegetables grown.

We have come full circle. The housekeeping staff working at the plant have been enjoying these vegetables... it’s a true labor of love. Why should someone else handle our waste when we can compost and grow our own food!

Swaccha Doddanagamangala Abyan

The Doddanagamangala Panchayat had organized a cleanup of the village involving the students and volunteers from the village. ELCITA CEO Rama addressed the students and appreciated the way students are contributing towards cleanliness of the neighborhood. She encouraged them to segregate waste and manage it responsibly. She exhorted the students and volunteers to make Doddanagamangala village the cleanest and a shining example for others to follow. The school and panchayat authorities promised to carry the work forward and create awareness among students and public.

ELCITA supported the event by providing dustbins and 3M contributed the masks for volunteers.

Happy Deepavali

Let us have a smoke free Deepavali!

Diwali is a festival of lights not noise, light more diyas burst less crackers.
Elcita along with KSPCB & Infosys spread this message and created awareness by getting the students of Konappana Agrahara to exhibit their talents in painting colorful eco-friendly diyas.
