Initiatives taken towards free flow of traffic
Dear all,

Electronics City is adopting new smart ways to reduce resource consumption and increase the overall efficiency and productivity of e-citizens and enterprises.

We are coming up with a new pilot project for better traffic movement. Work on West Avenue 8 includes road widening and junction improvement by shifting kerbstones for better navigation at curves. Four trees had been blocking the vehicle passage at this junction. As there was no alternative, we had to remove them to allow traffic flow and ease commuters’ drive on this road. Needless to say, we will plant more trees to compensate.

Another project involves replacement of Bescom poles with Spun poles, installing smart LED street lights and moving overhead cables to underground. The neighbourhood will also be covered by Smart Surveillance Cameras.

e-Citizen

I’m Lakshman Chauhan, from Guwahati, Assam. I’m working with Capacit'e Infraprojects Ltd. as a foreman worker.  It’s been two years in Electronic City, staying with my co-workers. I find this place very eco-friendly. I enjoy working with my team and we have a lot of fun here. Though there are traffic issues in ecity, it is quite a peaceful place to stay as it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
