AAGIS Quarterly Meeting and Happy Hour!
Wednesday, April 27

Quarterly Meeting | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Happy Hour | 6:00 pm - 7:00

April is here and it's time for our quarterly meeting!  We're trying out having a happy hour on the same evening as the quarterly meeting this time.  If you love it, then great!  RSVP below!  If you hate it, that's okay, but keep it to yourself!  Actually, give us any feedback and we'll make sure to keep it in mind in future planning.

April’s quarterly meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 27th at Pape Dawson’s office and will feature Leslie Morgan with GISNuts. Leslie will be presenting on using Django to create effective and interactive web maps. Pape Dawson is graciously providing lunch.

Happy Hour this month will be the same evening as the quarterly meeting and will take place at the Quarry Hofbrau again.  Last month we had a great turn out, and we hope to keep building upon this great group of GIS professionals.  See you soon!

A Letter from the President

AAGIS Members and Friends,

Fiesta is one of my favorite times of year in San Antonio!  It’s a time when the community has the opportunity to experience different cultures and honor traditions that have taken place for 125 years.

With all the Fiesta activities going on, don’t forget the many AAGIS events that we have coming up.  To continue the festivities we will have our Quarterly Meeting and Happy Hour the week after Fiesta!  I encourage you all to come, as we will hear from Leslie Morgan and have the opportunity to network and learn from each other. We are also looking for VOLUNTEERS for GIS Day 2016, so please contact me if you are interested.  We NEED you!

Whether you are partaking in Fiesta activities or attending the SCAUG Conference, I hope that you are safe and I look forward to seeing you at our own Fiesta!

Come to happy hour, vote, be involved.

Respectfully,

Santiago Jaramillo
AAGIS President
Volunteer for GIS Day!

San Antonio GIS Day continues to be a success because of hard work from volunteers in our GIS community.  Any help we can get to put on this event would be much appreciated!  We aim to make each year better than the last, and we know we can do it with help from people like you.  If you would like to volunteer, please contact us and we will gladly you let you know what positions need filling.  Thanks!!
