AAGIS Quarterly Meeting and Happy Hour!
Wednesday, July 20

Quarterly Meeting | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Happy Hour | 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

July is here and it's time for our quarterly meeting!  Like last quarterly, we'll be having our Happy Hour the same day.  RSVP below!

April’s quarterly meeting will take place on Wednesday, July 20th at Pape Dawson’s office (2000 NW Loop 410, Castle Hills, TX 78213) and will feature Michael Garza, GISP of Pape Dawson.  Michael will be presenting on Engineering and Mapping a Major Water Pipeline with GIS. Pape Dawson is graciously providing lunch.

Happy Hour this month will be that evening and will take place at the Quarry Hofbrau again.  Last month we had a great turn out, and we hope to keep building upon this great group of GIS professionals.  See you soon!

A Letter from the President
AAGIS Members and Friends,

July is always hot, but I never seem to get used to it.  Due to the heat, AAGIS is offering you opportunities to say cool at our Quarterly Meeting and Happy Hour on the 20th .  I hope that you’ll take advantage of lunch, cold drinks and air conditioning!
The board has been working hard this summer and needs your help.  We’ll be having a GIS Day meeting this Thursday to discuss the venue, tasks that need to be completed, and the timeline and need you as we continue planning for the November event.  We hope that you’ll lend us your time and talent to make this the best GIS Day yet!   The board has also been working with TeachMeGIS to offer members GIS training.  Whether you are interested in learning something new or polishing up your existing skills, TeachMeGIS can help.
The survey in this newsletter is to help us understand if there is enough interest in training to sponsor an event, so I anticipate a good number of responses to this opportunity.

Thank you for being involved.  I look forward to seeing you on July 20th.

Santiago Jaramillo
AAGIS President
