AAGIS Happy Hour!
Tuesday, March 29 | Quarry Hofbrau

6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Another happy hour to meet up and enjoy some time and delicious beverages with your favorite GIS colleagues! This month we'll be at the Quarry Hofbrau, located at 7310 Jones Maltsberger Road.  February's happy hour was a great time, so we hope we can get even more people here and have an even greater time. See you then!

A Letter from the President

AAGIS Members and Friends,

Spring time is always a great time in San Antonio.   Spring break is around the corner and Fiesta will be here before we know it!

Spring is also an important time at AAGIS because we need to begin voting for the 2016-2017 officers.  As mentioned in this newsletter we have an important call for nominations that is open until the 25th.  I encourage you to nominate a someone that you think would be an excellent leader for AAGIS (Don’t worry, we’ll make sure they want to run before putting their name on a ballot).  Although there won’t be any televised debates, it is still important that you nominate and vote for the individuals leading your organization!

Come to happy hour, nominate, vote, be involved.

Respectfully,

Santiago Jaramillo
AAGIS President

Call for nominations!

AAGIS is looking for anyone interested in joining the board to help AAGIS continue to grow in its reach and influence.  In addition to the offices of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, the board is also looking to add the positions of Social Chair and Scholarship Coordinator.

Do you know someone how might be interested?  The offices of President, Vice President, and Secretary require nominations, while the positions of Treasurer, Social Chair, and Scholarship Coordinator are volunteer positions.

Please send your nomination or willingness to volunteer to Kurt at
kmenking@bcad.org by Friday, March 25.  Thank you!!
