Work in the Agency's leadership team

The Australian Space Agency is looking for experienced leaders to join our senior executive leadership team.

These positions will play a pivotal role in creating a vibrant space industry in Australia. Due to growth in the industry, the Agency is looking to recruit two newly created SES Band One executives: General Manager, Office of the Space Regulator, and General Manager, Strategy and Industry Growth.

The General Managers will form an essential part of the Agency’s Senior Executive Leadership team. The ideal candidates will have highly developed representational and negotiation skills, are experienced leaders who value and empower their teams, have excellent communication skills and are committed to the values of the Agency.

Economics of Earth observation
A new report from Deloitte Access Economics has found Earth observations (EO) directly contributed $283 million to the Australian economy in 2019-20, employed 1,570 people, and generated benefits for end-users of EO data of more than $2.5 billion. Read the report.

Earth Observation Australia Inc, FrontierSI, SmartSat CRC and Symbios Communications recently undertook consultation to bring together the satellite Earth observation quality assurance requirements of the Australian space and Earth observation community.

This report forms part of a series of independent studies undertaken in support of the development of the Australian Space Agency’s Earth Observations from Space Technology Roadmap. The contents of the report are independent and hence do not represent the position of the Australian Government.
