Dear Members of the San Juan County Democratic Party,
I hope everyone had a safe, fruitful, and enjoyable holiday. But most importantly, thank you. Thank you for all of your efforts, volunteer work and organizing during this election cycle to get Vice-President Joe Biden elected as our new president, amongst many other democrats across the nation that you have helped get elected. Yet, as we all may know, the work does not end there.
Next year, we have another election season coming in the fall for our municipal held positions such as City Council/Commission, College Board and School Board Positions. Also, we must discuss the details of electing a successor to our previous chair and electing an entirely new executive committee in the spring of 2020 to take our local Democratic Party into the future.
Therefore, I would like to invite you to attend the following scheduled upcoming meetings (at the end of this email). Unfortunately, COVID-19 has been a learning experience for us all. We had to adapt not only the way we organize politically but also the way the interact with others in our own personal lives. This is why we, the Democratic Party of San Juan County, need you! Within our membership, we have many years of experience and knowledge learned by our elders and new energy amongst our newer and younger members. This is why I would like for everyone to attend these following meetings so that you may express your ideas, hopes and input for our Democratic Party and its future. Together, we will move our party in a new direction and come up with new ideas so that we, as a party and as a community, can move forward. Please stay safe, take care and be happy.
P.S. If you have any comments, questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at (602)814-3931 or at email@example.com. Thank you.
