With increased Covid case numbers and the tightening of existing restrictions over this week, an extension of Sydney's lockdown into September is now imminent. We're more mindful than ever of the importance of keeping all of you moving for both physical and mental health.

As pandemic fatigue sets in for most of us in one way or another, we want to take the opportunity to encourage you all to keep doing what you're doing! Maintaining a routine and exercising regularly are really important factors in sustaining a positive outlook.
Please Give Us Some Feedback
We've created a little survey to get a gauge of how we are tracking as a service to you, a marketing question and if there's anything more you'd like to see from us. We were planning to do this survey in June then Covid hit again! So we delayed, but now we thought we would go ahead.
Hit the link below to participate, it should only take you a couple of minutes to complete.

We really appreciate all of your ongoing support and contributions!

International Dog Day
August 26

Little Sammy is growing! See above as she diligently 'helps' Susie with exercise sessions on the mat!
Hmmmm.. what can I chew next she thinks?!

We will be celebrating International Dog day on 26th August. Feel free to send pictures of any pet 'assistance' as you exercise with us!

Sick of sitting at your desk all day? It's time to take a moment for self care

Take a break from desk work and do some gentle movement and stretches. There are many stretches you can do just sitting in the chair, as 'pause gymnastics'. These include seated cat stretch (arch and curve of the spine), simple trunk rotation and side stretches.
You can use the back of your chair as a lever to extend the upper back. Make sure you support the head and neck with the fingers interlocked behind the neck.  Other stretches you might know are the kneeling ' thread the needle', or seated ' give yourself a hug' stretch for the muscles between the shoulder blades.
Standing up and stretching the arms out to the side and up to the ceiling, is perhaps what your body is telling you it needs! Big breath in and out! Remember to listen to what your body tells you it needs.

Midday Meditation

How can we cultivate peace of mind during this stressful time?

Big changes that are either unexpected or unwelcome combined with the uncertainty of a global pandemic can increase our level of anxiety and stress, affecting how we feel, sleep and interact with others.

Yet it's possible to find a measure of calm and peace amidst it all through the practice of meditation. Join Sue Beecher, an experienced meditation teacher, for a gentle guided meditation each week to support your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

All welcome, suitable for beginners to experienced meditators.
