"By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things."

Galatians 5:22-23

This week at THE WALK we will continue our look at 9 ways we can bring a renewal of energy into our spiritual journey this year. We will turn our attention to "gentleness" as a fruit of the Spirit that can lead us closer to God and one another.

Also this Sunday, we will hold our next Vital Voices/Vital Visions conversation following our church service. The topic of this conversation will be: "What ministries do you feel you have a passion, skill or call to engage in as part of your faith life at THE WALK?"

Additionally, our leadership will share an update on the financial status of THE WALK.

Let us hope and pray together that God’s vision of vitality for THE WALK will emerge as a result of God’s grace and our faithful conversations.

Upcoming Events at THE WALK

Sunday, February 24th: Vital Voices/Vital Visions Meeting

We will hold a covered dish meal and gathering after church this Sunday to continue our church-wide discussion and discernment of a renewed missional focus for THE WALK and the steps we need to take to carry it out.

This is the second of several Vital Voices/Vital Visions meetings we will hold. Our topic will be: "What ministries do you feel you have a passion, skill or call to engage in as part of your faith life at THE WALK?"

Please keep in prayer: The Special Session of the General Conference of The United Methodist Church will take place February 23-26, 2019 in St. Louis, Missouri. The purpose will be to receive and act on a report from the Commission on a Way Forward, authorized to examine paragraphs in The Book of Discipline concerning human sexuality and to explore options to strengthen church unity.

Here is a link to Bishop Leeland's pre-conference message:
