This Week's Bounty*:

arugula
dill

green onions
lettuce
spinach

* Saturday and Wednesday shares may differ slightly week-to-week, though we do everything we can to make them equal over the season.
Spinach with Chickpeas

2 tablespoons olive oil
green onions, chopped
1.5C  cooked chickpeas
1 pound spinach
1/2 C minced fresh dill weed
2 lemons, juiced
salt and pepper to taste
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions, and saute until soft. Add chickpeas, and toss to coat in oil.
  2. Clean spinach and cut away thick stems; add undrained spinach and dill to skillet, and cook until spinach is tender.
  3. Stir in lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm over rice or a bed of greens.
 

Welcome to the 2016 season!

So begins the 28th year in the vibrant history of Community Farm! Each season is its own unique (Biodynamic) chemistry experiment - an opportunity to explore what's possible when a group of people (and critters) share space, food, stories, laughter, work & play, a vision. Before the flurry of Summer completely carries us along with it, it feels like a good time to express gratitude for all that make this experience possible.  

To the land that nourishes us and the forces and elements that nourish the land.

To the farmers and apprentices (Annie, Paul, Kristin, Nikki, Mark, Noelle, Josh, and Erin - with more to come soon!) who work (and play) to plant, tend, and harvest the crops.  Many of these workers are among the longest-standing members of the farm.

To all of the creatures that share our space with us (from Lucy, our beautiful cow, to each and every honeybee - they're all playing important roles).

 And to YOU - the members - whose support and participation in this cooperative effort is a wonderful driving force for the farm.  We are beyond grateful for all you bring to this experience.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
