A couple of weeks ago we made a pledge to support the fight against coronavirus by sharing news responsibly. Born of the understanding that timely and reliable data, especially in a crisis, makes a significant difference, this has led to an introspective look at how we can be more open, straightforward and responsive in our work.

The end result of this self assessment is our COVID-19 response portal, which we define as a simple and easy way to stand by our commitment to transparency, maintain our focus on fast and responsive data, and most importantly, include you in the conversations we are having as an organization.

One of our long standing goals is a commitment to transparency and we wanted our response to Covid to reflect a similar set of principles. We aim to provide full access to data and instruments for all Covid-related research, but we also will work to compile resources we have created for internal use during the crisis. Whether it be guides to keeping mentally well while working from home, tips on navigating IRBs during lockdown, or how to direct tax refunds towards relief efforts, our hope is that these resources will be useful to other organizations as they navigate this crisis and #StandAgainstCorona.

#StaySafe,

James.
