Going Back To Work Had Us Feeling Like....

It's a new year, and what better way to start it than with sensational new music?  We want to say thank you to everyone who helped make 2015 so special, and to our friends who are helping 2016 start with a bang. We're excited about what's to come and are excited to make more great friends and family in the community!

Baroness - Purple

2015 release, the fourth full-length album from the stoner/sludge metal band. Purple was produced by Dave Fridmann (MGMT, The Flaming Lips). This is the first album to be released by the band following their involvement in the 2012 bus accident that left nine people injured; it is also the first album to feature new band members Nick Jost and Sebastian Thompson, playing bass/keyboards and drums respectively.

The Avett Bros - Magpie and the Dandelion
Double vinyl LP pressing. 2013 release, the eighth studio album from the Alt-Folk rockers. The album was produced by Rick Rubin who produced their previous two full-length studio albums, I and Love and You and the Carpenter. The album was recorded during the same recording sessions as the Carpenter and in an open letter to fans published in August band says the album conveys a feeling on "youthful wonder"
!!! - As If
  • Limited double vinyl LP pressing. 2015 release, the sixth album by the indie post-punk outfit. Combining punk abandon and tightly-coiled dance music has always been bonded into !!!'s DNA. It's this core plus their growth and mastery of songwriting that has seen them outlive the mid-2000s 'indie/dance punk' tag and has allowed them to consistently grow lyrically and sonically from album to album.
Chromeo - White Women
We are officially on the cusp of the Canadian funk lords' fourth album's release. It's called WHITE WOMEN and it's a doozy. As a work of cultural theory, it posits that we are living in a post-nostalgia age. All previous genres and styles of music now coexist within a singularity of moves and gestures.

BADBADNOTGOOD & GHOSTFACE KILLAH - Sour Soul (instrumentals)
Although this isn't a brand new release, it is certainly a timeless instrumental record. Perhaps that's half the fun in buying records, the mystique of something old, something borrowed, something blue, and something new. Sought after instrumentals for critically acclaimed album Sour Soul, by Toronto jazz/hip-hop band BAD BAD NOT GOOD and Staten Island rap champ Ghostface Killah. Inspired by 1960s and 70s music and taking inspiration from the recording techniques and production of that era, they embrace live instrumentation and zero sampling. BBNG with producer Frank Dukes created a dramatic, cinematic musical staging for Ghostface's vivid storytelling and this is the first and only time the instrumentals will be available as a standalone album.
Come pick up this great record for the new year and have a cup of
