Join Battery Park City Authority for an Open House to preview and comment on the project’s potential approaches for protecting the neighborhood from more frequent and more severe storms.

About the Project
As part of the North/West Battery Park City Resiliency Project, BPCA is developing an approach to protect the northern and western portions of Battery Park City from storm surge and sea level rise. The project is being developed through a progressive design-build process and includes a robust approach to community engagement. We want to hear from you and your neighbors—please help us spread the word.

Since the Community Meeting #2 for the project that took place in December 2021, the three shortlisted design-build teams for this project each proposed unique alignments—the location and configuration of the flood barrier system—for the project.

We want to hear from you!
Throughout the evening, you will be able to learn about the project and its goals and view a range of proposed alignments.  You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and share your input with members of the project team regarding each proposed alignment.

For those who are unable to attend the Open House in-person, a virtual option will be available online through July 15. Materials from the Open House will also be posted to the Resiliency page of BPCA’s website.

In observance with the NYC Health Commissioner’s most recent public health advisory, BPCA recommends that all participants wear masks while attending the open house. Disposable masks and hand sanitizer will be available.

If you have questions about the upcoming Open House, please contact:
Claudia Filomena, Director of Capital Projects

Free to attend. Let us know you're coming!
