Sustainer Done in a Day at the Thrift Shop

Join us on March 12 the Sustainer DIAD at our fabulous Thrift Shop to help transition the shop from winter to spring and replace the old hangers with new ones! DIAD with PHS Flower Show

Volunteer shifts are available for the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s (PHS) Philadelphia Flower Show to help as cashier assistants, general sales, and restocking positions at the PHS Store. Every volunteer gets a FREE pass so that you can spend the rest of your day viewing the beautiful Flower Show!  Revenues from the show support the charitable efforts of the PHS. All proceeds, including those from the PHS Store, are used to support programs which contribute to providing healthy foods to many communities. This, in turn, leads to the improved health and well-being of many people who would otherwise not have access to fresh, healthy produce. Shifts are available March 18 and 19.  Check the calendar for all of the options.

Transfer Tea and Flower Show

Join us for a Saturday afternoon of Tea and Flowers on Saturday, March 18. Tea at XIX will be served at 2:30 p.m. and the cost per ticket is $39.50 (this includes tax and tip). Due to large party reservations, tickets to the tea can not be refunded. After tea, walk to the Philadelphia Flower Show, where this year's theme is 'Holland'. Be sure to buy your tickets online before the show for a discounted ticket price; tickets sometimes sell out. If you can't make it to both events, join us for just one!

DIAD - School-Wide Food Taste Test Preparation

On March 20, we will be packing up snack bags with The Food Trust for city-wide distribution. This event is located in a nice building in a great part of town, and will give you the opportunity to chat with some fellow League members while working for a great cause.

Evening Sustainers Spin at Soul Cycle

Welcome spring by joining us on a ride at the new Soul Cycle in Ardmore on March 21, where we will experience their special brand of spin. No previous spinning or biking experience is required and all levels of fitness are welcome. As the new neighbor of JLP Headquarters, Soul Cycle is generously letting the Junior League Sustainers try this class for free! There are showers available at Soul Cycle and those who are interested will grab dinner after class at Suburban Square.

Come learn, share, and prepare! This training is open to New Members, as well as Actives/Sustainers.
